A web-based, mobile device augmented reality (AR) experience to bring life and a marquee engagement to Starbucks’ Kindness Campaign.

  • Timeline: 7 months from initial pitch, produced in less than 3 months, once approvals given for creative approach.

  • Deliverables:  8th Wall web-based AR experience, design approach, CMS and Google analytics tracking.

  • Challenges: New teams working together (client, agency, production company), limited budget, slow approval process, client appetite for innovate experience but high risk aversion from legal.

  • Solutions: Close coordination and frequent meetings including stakeholders from each party, budget review process mid-project, parallel tracking of content reviews, contingency planning for legal requirements. 

  • Result: Happy clients and a fun in store engagement that the client planned to iterate and build upon for 6 months to 1 year.
